With over 10,000 Filipino Americans in Chino Hills alone, this day of sharing our culture, talents, and heritage is going to be the first cultural event in Chino Hills at this caliber. Our organization will be setting up numerous fundraisers to help raise money to put on this joyous occasion. The festival's proceeds will be donated to local non-profit organizations.

The Kabalikat Society is a young grass-roots organization established in October of 2008. Our organization is grounded on two principles: To develop an active and dynamic social network for young Filipino-Americans and cultivate an awareness and appreciation for our Philippine heritage. The founders of the organization are comprised of young and locally grown Filipino Americans concerned that Filipinos of their age lack a solid community to adhere to. The Kabalikat Society will establish itself as a gathering place to foster an open relationship and dialogue between Filipino youth, young adults, up and coming professionals, and families by staging various celebrations and events, addressing local, state, and national issues, and creating internet outlets such as a website and a blog to keep us informed and keep us together. With this in mind, the Kabalikat Society will promote the ideal for people to share, engage, and interact to form new relationships and strengthen ties in the Filipino community. With our efforts, we strive to maintain the younger generations' connection with their Filipino-American culture as a unified community or as 'kabalikat', meaning "shoulder to shoulder we stand together."
